Many people buy the first glass bulb they see without measuring their pot size or checking the neck width. This leads to frustrated gardeners dealing with tipped-over glass or water that drains in mere hours.
Getting the Best Self Watering Globes requires balancing your plant's thirst with the vessel's actual holding capacity. A bit of planning ensures your greenery stays hydrated while you are away. Let's compare the most reliable options available right now.
Key Takeaways
- Prioritize larger volume bulbs if you plan to be away for more than a few days, as smaller sizes often empty too quickly.
- Check the diameter of the tube opening, because narrow stems can clog easily if your potting soil is dense or contains large bark pieces.
- Glass is fragile, so inspect the packaging quality if you intend to order delicate hand-blown pieces for your collection.
- Match the visual style of the bulb to your decor, since you will be looking at these containers every single day.
- Account for the total height of the stake when calculating the space available in your container, as some models are surprisingly tall.
